New Pedals impressed my Band Mates

I posted this in the acoustic guitar forum but also thought I would share it here. Could give you a link but prefer the direct approach.

We had laid off practice for a few weeks, no gigs, just a hot summer. So during that time I experimented a bit with new signal routes and pedals, purchased a few new ones. I had been thinking about a new combination of pedals and just for fun, took the ones I wanted to experiment with in combination. First is my beloved Pigtronix KeyMaster pedal (keeps my Taylor GA8 ES signal balanced all the way to the PA and allows for my effects loop. From there my effects loop consisted of the 18 volt version Danelectro cool cat Chorus into my new Strymon Brigadier delay pedal. I set the Brigadier to about 350 to 400 ms and added a little modulation, set the mix at about 40% wet to dry signal. The chorus was set to add just a small amount of effect.

The first strum on my guitar when plugged in drew their attention! It had a slight sustain, and harmonics were present. Just a slight ambient after-tone so the chords blended so well with the lead singers electric strat we just want to solo jam the entire practice.

Just a reflection on my experience last night, ... most are not as pleasant but this time, It worked out well. I will have to give Strymon a A+ on this pedal of theirs.

Re: New Pedals impressed my Band Mates

My bass player has that Cool Cat Chorus pedal and it's one of the best sounds I've ever heard. I wish they made a quality version that was 9 volt compatible, though.
