Well, I just got my Strat back last night and it sounds better than I expected. I had a tech install a Duncan JB in the bridge, a Duncan Jazz in the neck and a Fender '57/'62 single coil in the middle. I'm blown away by the Jazz in the neck. I finally found the Warren Haynes tone I've been looking for. THAT is why I said "better than I expected", because I certainly wasn't expecting this sound from my Strat, nor was I even attempting to achieve this sound with this project!! With my Marshall JTM 30 and the Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal, I found myself in guitar "Tonedom" last night!!!! (is that a word?)
Anyway, just thought I'd pass this info on about my new pickup configuration and how good it sounds!!! This is my first time to own a JB or a Jazz and I'm hooked. I've owned and installed many other Duncans, but not these two. Great combination...... :cool3:
