New Pickup Day - DiMarzio Crunch Lab!

So I was at my local GC and they had an F-Spaced DiMarzio Crunch Lab on clearance for $60. How can you say no? I snapped it up and I am now deciding on what guitar to put it in and if I should go bar towards bridge or bar towards neck. I would love to hear what experiences you fellas have had and what guitars you've put them in. Please share.

Make sure it goes in a bright guitar. If the guitar is dark already, think you will be less than pleased

Ive been researching it myself because there is one for sale used locally and it's a great sounding pickup. I just don't have a guitar that would suit it right now.
