New pickups, bridge super quiet

I just finished installing two new humbuckers, wired to series/coil/parallel switches. Before I put everything back in the guitar I tested the pickups with a screwdriver to make sure everything was working. The neck seems to be working fine, and is loud when I tap it with the screwdriver, but when I switch to the bridge pickup it registers a pop when I tap it but it's really quiet. Does this mean my soldering job was faulty? Time to start over again?

Not necessarily. A problem that I've run into more than once was that when you shove all the wiring back into the cavity, the "bare" wire touches something that it shouldn't. Check that first. Might be as simple as opening it back up, wiggling stuff, and shoving it back in. (Why does this remind me of something?) :scratchch

I haven't shoved anything back in yet... It's all still outside the guitar. I tried unsoldering and resoldering one of the connections that looked a little dodgy, but it still seems screwed up :17:

sounds like something in the bridge pup wiring is off. maybe a cold joint or ? a meter is a good place to start if you have one
