New pots - RG321MH - size, length?

Hey all

I need new pots for my Ibanez... Both tone and vol.

My friend is doing the hard work, which means the installation. We already ordered a batch of pots, but they turned out to be too short.

I have no idea how long, or which size they should be. Only thing i DO know is that they have to be 500k.

I can choose from these:

Any input? Please help.

Re: New pots - RG321MH - size, length?

The one in that picture will probably be too short, regardless of the spec sheet. That's a pickguard-mounted pot. You can judge the height of the shaft by the part where the knob will attach.

The threaded portion of that one will not protrude above the body far enough to get the nut on it.

I've gone through a tone of wrong-pot orders myself, and it's become fairly easy to spot the wrong ones now

I have a modified RG321MH. Had no trouble whatsoever fitting one of the pots supplied with SD active guitar pickups and an EMG SPC midbooster.

um its the same model # switch I have on both my guitars
the RG2 and the RG4
neither have a pickguard
and I purchased an extended shaft PP for my last build ( on the RG4 )

it was too long
it stuck out of the control cavity in the back

I had to replace it with a standard size shaft
my RGs have the exact same dimensions as the OP

this is what came in mine
this is what the replacement specs say

thank you
:):scratchch

heres a picture in the down position

Re: New pots - RG321MH - size, length?

I used Alpha pots on mine, but i had to sand the hole a bit to make it larger.

Re: New pots - RG321MH - size, length?

I put down an order on

1 x http://www.thomann.de/gb/goeldo_e500l_poti_500.htm

and

1 x http://www.thomann.de/gb/goeldo_el500.htm

Are these good enough?

I also thought about

2 x http://www.thomann.de/gb/gibson_original_potentiometer.htm

but im not sure if that one is too long?

I hope you can help me out a bit.

the long ones should be fine
as you can see in my photos
mine were a worst case scenario
long shaft with a Push-Pull that made it that much taller

I apologize for being unwavering in my stupidity

EDIT
and I did have to open the hole up with a 3/8 inch drill bit
