Okay, this is the mystery solved!

Here's the marketing blurb verbatim:

The Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz is a most unique fuzz pedal that incorporates a six position "Tweak" switch to voice your fuzz tone the way you want it. The basic tone will be familiar to players who remember the rich, lush, vintage fuzz tones used at the big 60's pop festivals. But with the addition of the Tweak switch, you can create a myriad of totally unique fuzz tones making this one of the most versatile pedals for electric guitar and bass.

Tweak Control: Engages one of six preset EQ resonances that give the overall flavor to the Tweak Fuzz, rolling off the bottom end and influencing the behavior of the Gain control. Each of hte six frewquencies was chosen and voiced to enhance rich harmonics and bring out the most flattering qualities of your guitar or bass.

Gain control: contrls the amount of square wave clipping distortion. It can go from mildly distorted to all-out fuzz fury.

Volume Control: Sets the overall volume to the optimum level. Whether you want to set it to match the bypassed signal or whether you want to a big boost when you engage your Tweak Fuzz: it's your decision.

True Bypass: blah blah blah

Power source: standard 9v or regulated 9v DC power supply

Durable: Heavy-duty 1.6mm steel sheet metal.

Specs:

Gain range: 0db to +50db

Type of circuitry: Discrete, Class A, low-noise transistor

Dimensions: 4.62" wide x 5.10" deep x 2.2" tall

My take: I got to play it through a Baker guitar and small amp. I also got to play it through a Heritage LP with Antiquities in it (must have been running into a POD behind the panel and then into a set of headphones). And, I got to run it with a guitar set up with a Duncan Distortion and a Dimebucker.

All sorts of tones out of it. Think a really high end boutique fuzz pedal with a street price of $99.

They're going to sell a million of them. I'll post a pic later. *** Oops, I dont' have a picture of it. It's a yellow pedal. end of story.

Thanks for the info Scott.

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Hails SCOTT.
can WE play metal with it? does it fit metal distortions? or only rock n roll, fusion, swing, blues and some jazz?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

I played it with a guitar loaded with METAL pickups and it sounded killer.

Duncan Distortion and a Dimebucker.... those are metal pups, right?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

this really interests me........if its more into a vintage fuzz sound, than a buzzy thing distortion sound, i might have to spring for it

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

hmm, i am extremely interested in this pedal for sabbath-esque tones, 1 please post pics, and how would it fair with sabbath like stuff ?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

sounds cool. how did it compare to all those fulltone fuzz pedals that everyone is talking about?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

If it can do the Eric-Johnson 1000-pound violin fuzztone I'm sold!

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Sounds like a great idea! Scott did you say it can be used as a boost too?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Scott, is this the pedal Blues Saraceno was gonna demo for SD?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Im looking for a fuzz pedal, that might be the one if its better than a Fulltone 69!

From the description, it sounds like it may be a variation, or "little brother" to Alex Saraceno's Germanium Boy. Especially since they linked to this page on the SD home page. ;)

The Germanium Boy has 12 tweak levels as opposed to SD's having 6.

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

I'm very interested I really hope they get at least one at my guitar shop so I can try it out. I'm looking for a fuzz pedal to play some hendrix.. But also playin' more slipknot now-a-days, so If I jam out some slipknot through this fuzz pedal I will definetly buy one.
I do realize this pedal probably wouldn't be a great way to get slipknot tone, but any pedal with seymour's name on it is ok by me.
Rock On :smoker:

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

'vintage fuzz tones' from the 60s were not really warm though (well, maybe clapton, but his tone was down on his guitars). Is it more screechy like a fuzz face (like Hendrix)or more warm and round like a Clapton sound?

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Can it do Jesus and Mary Chain-style washout? That's something I've never managed to get through any of my current toys.

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

Marketing departments are oh so funny! This is "one of the most versatile pedals for electric guitar and bass" because it has 6 different fuzz voicings?

Anyway this sounds awesome, I'll have to try one out.

Re: New Product: Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal

As a card-carrying fuzz addict, this thing has my interest. Thanks for the info, Scott!
