There's a bit of a story behind this one.
As some of you may know, I run a review site here in NZ, so I have some good friends among the local retailers who support my website by lending me gear to review.
This guitar was stolen from a store, though eventually it was recovered when the idiots tried to sell it on our local equivalent of eBay. Long story short, the insurance company had already paid out on it, but my friend who is the guitar product manager for the company liked it so much that he ended up buying it off them.
However, as you can imagine, a guy in his position has waaay too many toys anyway, so recently he decided to move it on - and I bought it!
It's a bit different - Emerald Green apparently is one of the most difficult finishes to sell, and the flame isn't the most uniform or striking - but I think it has character, and damn this monster sounds amazing.
