New pups for my G&L tribute Bluesboy

I am looking to tame the microphonics and ice-picky treble in my Bluesboy. I'm thinking of putting in an AlnicoII pro APH-1 Humbucker in the neck position and an AlnicoII pro APTL-1 in the bridge position. I play blues and don't use alot of distortion. Looking for a thick, rich, sweet tone. don't need it to be punchy either. What are your experiences with these pups? Thanks

Which stock G&L pickups are in your guitar?

If the MFD pickup in the bridge is microphonic, you can have it re-potted, and that will solve the feed back problem and probably reduce the ice-pickiness, too. I had an ASAT Classic SH with the same pickup, it got squeally and potting fixed it it. A cheap fix, too.

I like the MFD pickups.

Thanks Boogie Bill, repotting is an option, but I am still curious about the pups in question.

I have the Tribute series ASAT Classic. The guitar is made by Cort but the pickups are MIA. If they are known for microphony, this probably explains why I like them as much as I do. FWIIW, my ASAT Classic is ash body, rosewood fingerboard.
