New Rat Killer Pedal Day

Been wanting to pick up a new dirt pedal, who am I kidding, just a new pedal as of lately. Took a ride over to my friendly neighborhood guitar shop, purusing the Wampler case and what do I lay my eyes upon. A Ratsbane. Hmmmm been looking at those on line lately. Thought hmm dirt of all flavors, mild distortion to fuzzy goodness. Gotta have it.

Paid the man and here it is on my board, not sure it is its permenant home, its after my Tumnus mini, Pinnacle Deluxe and Dracarys but before the Phase 95.

Thats some 80's-90's kinda rock goodness. Can go from aharp overdrice/distortion to straight up distortion to splatty fuzzy creaminess. Digging the distortion with just a hint of fuzz creaminess.

Nice pedal! One of my favorite things to do with a Rat is to place it after my Phase 95 in the chain and crank the gain all the way up. Phaser set to like, 9:00 on the Rate knob.

Those two circuits are made for each other. Wampler is cranking out some great pedals lately!

I got my first Wampler recently - Plexi-Mini.

That guy does some good stuff.

Havent tried the Plexi-MIni yet but have a Tumnus mini, Pinnacle Deluxe and Dracarys along with the Ratsbane on my board. My faves are the Tumnus and Ratsbane.

The Ratsbane is a nice little pedal for what it is. I'm not a small pedal fan at all but I bought one in spite of it and really like it for what it does.
