New riff -- Riot/Priest/Sabbath

VERY rough recording of a new riff we are working on. It's a fast one -- reminiscent of old Riot, a bit of Judas Priest, and a very Sabbath-ish middle section.

That's pretty cool Ben, I like it

Id've been really interested to hear that riff doubled up with more of a 80s/Splawn type tone too, I think it'd fit really well.

I like the groove and the riff a lot. Right on. As it is now, the bass is a really weak link IMO. A lot of the busy parts aren't working together harmonically to my ears. There are points where the bass and guitar parts clash, and where the bass riffs don't work with the changes of the song. If the bass part was simplified, straightened out harmonically, and the bass playing was heavily solidified (meaning less loosey goosey doodly doo and going in and out of the mix in volume and fatness, and a more driving steady and aggressive part), it would be great.

awesome! I like the live sound, tone and the nod to Sabbath! the chugging part. also the slow breakdown part, something that Sabb would definitely do, like the brooding bassline too
