I picked this up last week at Guitar Center for only 70 bucks. A 2004 Made in China, Squier Standard Cherryburst Strat with a Maple Fretboard/Neck and Alder body. It originally had a Mint Green pickguard but, the electronics on it, weren't really that good . It sounded like it had been through the ringer, so I found a GFS loaded pickguard on E-bay for only 20 bucks. The only change I made to the pickguard was to install all new Fender 250K Pots. Other than that, it sounds really good considering what it cost me.

That's Rosewood, not maple, although the neck itself is Maple.
