I'm not sure if these will be branded Mullard or Tung Sol, but I have 5 new production samples headed my way. Reports to follow.

Sweet. My AC30 build is going to have an EF86 in one channel. Let me know if any of them popped up microphonic. I've already got the chassis here for the build from Bruce Collins, I'm stoked to get started.

Are you going to stress-test these to see if you can force one to go microphonic to see what it would take or will these be handled with care for tone purposes?

We're counting on you for this info. You've got a great excuse to go through a lot of tubes, and I'm sure your amps will kill with tubes like either of those brands. I'm really curious about those Mullard EL-34's, and may try those next time I retube.

hmmmm.....look forward to your report. I thought that they were only branding the EL's as Mullards. Ihave heard some dealers say that they are not pleased witht he use of the Mullard name, but they are pretty happy with the results,at least with the EL34's

Get a Dario Miniwatt EF86 & be done with it

There was a HUGE difference in swapping out the stock ARS with the NOS in the Matchless Clubman I had.

I've got a clubman here to use as the test bench until I get my C-30, uh, I mean my Dierdre 30 up and running.
