New song up- used the whole arsenal for this

Hey guys- got a new track up on soundclick. It's mostly my seagull s6 recorded with a nuemann u87. I also used my schecter, which is now loaded with an alternative8 and jazz bridge in the neck. It's the low-tuned sounding single note stuff, and it was all jazz bridge in the neck. There's some emg81 neck as well -- only cuz my ltd viper was tuned to standard. Other than that, it's ezdrummer and logic samples. This song felt like purging a demon, so I was hoping you guys could give me some constructive criticism. :)

It's called "I'll wait for you."

Thanks for listening!

Sonically, it's solid. Love the sound of the acoustic!

I think that you have too many things turned up too high and they are competing with one another -- the mix doesn't have any 'movement' in that it sounds like the faders were set at a certain level and no rides or EQ'ing were done to fit the pieces together or match the movement of the song -- unless, of course, you want that type of sound, in which case I would say "mission accomplished". :)

I'm gonna mess with levels sometime soonish and add bass. Thanks for the criticism Twilight, and thanks for the kind words Dankstar. I'm also considering having a friend of mine sing on this (we're working on a different track right now and I'm loving his voice)- do you guys think that would be too much?

Thanks,

Amir

You can always remove something if you feel it gets to be too much, but I would record everything and then decide after you've had an objective listen. You can create incredibly dense mixes provided you fit everything together.
