New to Seymour

Hey all.
I have always been a Dimarzio guy but as of late have been leaning towards Duncan.
I recently acquired a ‘97 mint Yamaha Pacifica 112 and want to put my ‘83 DCJ SH 5 hmbker in the bridge but unsure of what to match it with as far as middle and neck singles. Thoughts?

Re: New to Seymour

What sort of tones are you after? I really love a Cool Rails in the neck with either a Custom or Custom Custom, but that isn't a typical single coil tone.

I had a regular Custom in this guitar from 2010-2018, but recently swapped to a CC because I wanted less bass and a softer high end.

I'm also a cool rails to fanatic and love them in the series as well as parallel

Welcome to the forum!

You might dig the Classic Stacks, which will keep the guitar hum-cancelling. They will also blend well with your humbucker.

The 1983 custom shop SH5 is the most beautiful sounding pickup I’ve ever heard. I think you may be right. The classic stack looks to be a winner. Thank you. eBay here I come..
