New Tune: Deadwood Blues

Re: New Tune: Deadwood Blues

Playings good as always, but the guitar tone wasnt as convincing as i'd have hoped.

Have you ever tried the acoustic models with acoustic strings on the axe? I read something about how you can do that and it'll make the acoustic models more lifelike

Re: New Tune: Deadwood Blues

I don't think acoustic strings will work on an electric guitar, you need the metal in the strings to disrupt the pickup's magnetic field in order to transfer that disruption to the amp as sound. Nylon is not going to do that.

.Chad, I heard that at the ZW forum, it was great stuff. Thanks.

That doesn't really apply. The Variax uses piezo pickups, not magnetic.

Lovely playing, WGWD! - I thoroughly enjoyed that, and is a good step away from the heavier stuff that hurts the brain.

+1... I really dug the fingerpicked stuff. Had a very relaxed and upbeat feel, it hit the spot :)
