PRS 25th Anniversary SC245 in Jet White.

It`s similar to the Limited Edition SC245 that I had (my avatar) a while back, the only differences are the pickups, this one has binding on the neck, rosewood veneer on the headstock and cream pickup rings instead of black. The V12 finish feel and look slightly different. Also, the neck on this one has the wide-fat, and my old one had the wide-thin.

I love the tone im getting from these 57 08 pickups... very open and natural sounding. Also, this version of wide-fat neck is incredible! the binding makes the neck feel more fitting on the hand. i love it!

Re: NF***ingGD!!!

Those are some great sounding guitars. White, Brazillian rosewood, etc... that's a beauty. Congratulations on what could be one of the forums top 10 singlecuts.

Re: NF***ingGD!!!

transparent white would have been nice, but it's a beautiful guitar. congratulations.

Re: NF***ingGD!!!

I LOVE a white PRS!

So nice looking, the natural binding is sexy - reminds me of a white LPC with the creme binding but sharper.

I am also puzzled by how well the creme rings work with the white and gold. Usually gold on white needs black plastics, a la LPC.

Furthermore, the PRS Singlecut is my favorite shape out there.

I wanted black rings initially... but the creme rings didn't make it bad, but different.

This is my third Singlecut. They are great looking guitars for sure, but as far as playability and tone... they are beyond amazing.

Apart from my 2 white SC 245's, I also have a 2007 SC250 in Blue Matteo with screaming hot pickups that I use for heavier, low-tuning stuff. I use that one live the most, along with my deluxe strat and lp traditional.

Re: NF***ingGD!!!

cant see the pics but congrats!!!! As far as the 10 tops, some Ive seen have been breathtaking, and then some have been pretty unimpressive. Id hate to pay the What?, 2k upgrade?? I think the plain white like yours and Dave navarros are killer !

Thank fully, PRS' usually dont blow me away when I play them at the store. However, there have been a few now that have.. GC had a used green one at the beginning of the last year that really rolled my tootsies. and last week they had one that I wasnt grazy about the looks of, but it played and felt great.. Its sold already..
Congrats on finding yours!!!

Re: NF***ingGD!!!

my apologies about the pics. I used the pics from the store's website and the store deleted the pics after it sold. doh!

thanks bud. you are right, every PRS have their own character/ identity. For example, this guitar has a wide-fat neck contour, as well as my Custom 22... but the neck feel totally different from each other. My 22 has a really sharp V shape, while this 245 has more of a C shape.

Also, this guitar is a lot heavier than my SC250. I guess its the "handmade" quality that they have. Having said that, you really have to find "the" PRS that is for YOU. They are great guitars no doubt, but not all of them are the same. I have noticed this on Suhr guitars as well. But then again Suhr guitars are really custom-tailored so rarely 2 guitars are exactly the same.

...excuse my blabber, its time to play.

cheers
