So I stripped it clean and removed all of the paint with a belt sanded, wood rasp, files and sandpaper. I routed for the neck humbucker, cut off the overly round tail of the body (about an inch and a quarter), shaped the heal and hand cutout, filled the holes from the 6 point trem, rounded all edges.

I have thought about doing something similar but I'm afraid I'll alter the shape of the body.
