NGD- Bass content

Re: NGD- Bass content

Cool. Y'know, I'd keep the decal. If it's a good bass, take pride in saying "Hohner made a good bass" even if it's a "P" knock-off.

Opps, Looks like the guitar I just got for 100 bucks is a "Harmony" and not a Hohner.
Funny you should say that though abouyt the decal. I started a thread on "Talkbass" once about one "Hohner" P-Bass knock off I found for 50 bucks, and removed the Hohner and stuck a Fender Decal on. The reactions on that thread were mixed, and it became so virulent that a mod closed the thread after about 3 pages. Yeah, that little 50 dollar bass was such a convincing vintage old Fender P-bass look a like that people were really concerned about it being passed off as the real thing, or maybe jelaous I got a 50 dollar bass that could pass for a vey expensive Fender vintage P-Bass. Here it is;

Nice. You probably get asked this all the time but why do you want the fender decal? I mean, Fender's great. It's their design that's being copied, of course.
People love things like Grecos and Burny LPs, and Tokai Breezy Sounds and stuff. It looks cool and has that vibe from back in the day when some companies cared a lot about making a good knock-off.
