Great score!! Both the axe AND the MRS!! Ive heard of that series and IIRC it was supposed to be a "step up" series.. Very Cool your spouse scouts axes for you! Im used to complaints about mine being in the house..
I had a special run ML at one time and it was super light for being such a huge plank and triple bucker. Also the balance was great with it too. Rock that bad boy!!

Thanks for the update! Sad.. Wasnt that old IIRC. But I think I heard where he was ill with cancer a few months back.

These are modeled after the Flame Series guitars Dean had in the late '70s. IIRC, they are same shape and size all around. Glad you like it. Maybe a nice Z to match would really set you off too. :headbang: There is a USA Chicago Series too.

I gotta say, the more I play this thing the more I love it. Pretty crazy how such a wild looking shape can cover so much ground.

I found out in my research about it that there was a USA Series as well. There was quite an uproar about how these were named the Standard rather than the Flame like the 70's model. But the way I see it, there is no flame so why name it the Flame Series? I never quite understood why the original USA flame top ML's were named Standards. Totally not a "standard" naming convention these days.

I certainly wouldn't mind finding the Z and V that go with it. Would need more space for them though. The cases for these babies aren't exactly small.
