The /v stands for antique varnish, a shellac that they use on violins. It is sort of a relic, in that the grain can be subtly felt through the finish, and there are some intentional discoloration here and there. I don't normally go for the relic thing, but this is tasteful. It uses Gotoh hardware, which is dulled from the factory, and it has a set of Antiquities. Fingerboard is ebony, and the jack & switch are Switchcraft. I got a pretty decent deal as I had interviewed the Eastman sales rep a few years ago for an SD Blog.
The guitar is 335-sized, and no doubt set for a lawsuit from the big G, which makes me like it more.
It is lighter than a 335, and sounds 'airier', and I am very happy with it.
