NGD - Fostinis Guitars Matadaur

So I did a thing about 5 months ago. I bought a guitar which was incomplete and I never laid my hands on until today. Boy am I glad that I did! I ordered a Fostinis Guitars Matadaur. Typically I'm not one to buy one before trying, but I figured why the hell not? It's a 25.5" scale with 24 frets, mahogany body with a beautifully carved maple top. I opted for the SD A2P Slash zebra pickup set, which goes well with the iced tea burst. Really well. Before I plugged in, I hit a chord. It rang... and rang... and continued to so. Plugged in, it's a beast. Neck is slightly thicker than what I'm used to, however, it's easy to play. Back side is a satin finish. Not too heavy either. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?

Love the shape! That thing looks absolutely satanic!

Just different enough to be cool and stand out in a crowd.

No sound clips as of yet as I just got her yesterday so still getting to know her. On top of that I'm still dialing in my Helix. May make a Slash-inspired patch just for this one.

Absolutely! While it was being put together, I showed my friends the pics that Jimmy, the luthier, had on his instagram page. They all thought PRS. Definitely gives off that vibe, but edgier and with a modern twist. I'm typically a Les Paul guy, but a nice solid double-cut has always been to my liking as well. This fits the bill on both accounts. I'm more used to playing the Gibson scale length, however the tech that set this up did this one perfectly. Using slinky 10s tuned down a half-step.
