NGD. Impulse buy.

I say it's an impulse because I never thought I'd be spending money today, but I've wanted a decent Classical acoustic electric for quite awhile. The last classical I had was in 92....a $60 beater.

This guitar isn't some incredible score or anything, but it sort of feels like one. It's a Cordoba C5-CE, and it's actually a really nice one....well made and nice looking wood. These sell for around $400 at GC, and the guy who bought this new over a month ago never played it - literally store bought condition. $280.

I can play Classical fingerstyle, although my main thing is doing it on steel strings blues style. This will give me a chance to delve further into actual Classical pieces with the right sound.

I'll be doing a lot of youtube-ing for practice.
I'm so glad that free resource is available to us nowadays.
I wish so badly that youtube was something I could have grown up with. You young guys are lucky in that respect.

At first I tried it through the Bognero, but I'm digging it most plugged into the Gibson Goldtone, because of it's natural woody/glassy tone. I haven't tried it through the Matchless yet, because it's buried behind bikes! LOL

Good score, if the neck is straight and it play's well amped or not for that price It's all good.

Cool! My first guitar and the one I took lessons on at age 12 was a nylon string Kay classical that my mother had bought for my father in about 67' from JC Penny! That thing was so hard to play! I'd probably gotten more outta those lessons had I had a playable instrument! I still have it tho..........being my fathers guitar and all it means alot to me.

If ever you have any questions about classical style man, shoot me a PM and I'll even respond through Youtube. Classical guitar is my thing, and I'd be glad to share what I have learned.

Are you planning on growing your nails?
