I've been denying trying to be a SRV clone for awhile. Since we're selling our house and switching up our lifestyle big time, I figured I'd follow suit with the guitars. Here's the newest guy...

And here's the lineup. The Peavey on the left has been around for about 15 years. Everything else was traded for in the last several weeks.

At least you didn't suddenly buy a Harley and change your Wardrobe out for Harley outerwear. That's the usual/predictable route -this is better

Although you need to put some clothes on that white Ibanez, or make her go on a diet..... :lmao:

In standard tuning that thing is only a whole step above a bass lol.

Damn, that's a good-looking collection you've got there, sir. It'll be a year at the earliest until I can add to my (meager) collection, so I am frankly envious...

Nice. The Strat I've been playing the last 5 years got offed in the turnover. I watched a Tosin Abasi video the other day, saw him doing some really awesome percussive fingerstyle stuff with a sparkly clean tone, and decided it was time for a totally different direction. I've been around the block with a bunch of 7 strings, but this thing is nuts.

Also, the PRS in the picture can cover all the ground the Strat did and then some. Best coil split tones I've ever heard.

Haha, been buying/selling/horse trading for 25 years, this is just where the wheel has stopped spinning for now. The last few years I've been really into single coil Fender tones, so now I'm swaying back to various flavors of humbuckers. Also, I cannot stress enough how cool the 8 string is, and not just for the chugga-chugga (which is obviously awesome). Even just playing a pentatonic scale is hilarious, because it feels like it takes forever.

Nothing crazy yet. Lifted some diodes, replaced one with something else... I used to be able to remember stuff like that. It’s louder than it used to be, and less buzzy.

Gee...an 8 string guitar looks like a challenge to play. If Abasi ever gets kicked out of Animals then you could be next up.;)
