Ill try and get pictures up next week, as I am about to fly out early in the morning tomorrow and don't have time tonight.
I pulled the trigger and snagged a Musicman Axis Sport MM90 off Reverb for a stupid low price. It's in 9/10 condition and has the original case.
Came in from MI and it was nearly in perfect tune, two strings were off by a smidgen.
Yes, it's an extremely comfortable feel and it makes me think of a super ergonomic Tele, with how the cut aways are done and the neck join. This has a noise canceling system built into it, but I need to throw in a 9 volt to get it going.
THese MM90 pickups are incredible. It's fat, but open, and the bridge pickup rips under high gain. I spent about 30 minutes with it, running thorugh my Blackstar HT5R and an Avitar 112 with a Cream back speaker in it.
The clean tones are wonderful and have a fat tone nearing a humbucker, but with the pop and snap of a single coil.
In general, its incredibly easy to play. I originally got this off Reverb to flip for a few more bucks, but may be keeping this and will perhaps sell off my Les Paul instead. I really connected with this guitar instantly.
