NGD, my first strat!

Recently, I started playing in a pop band so I've been looking at used fenders on ebay. At first I was planning to buy a tele because I'm a big guy and I like guitars with bigger bodies, but I then saw a black fsr strat with a matching headstock, a lil 59' in the neck and tone zone in the bridge. It was love at first sight, and now after more two long weeks of waiting, she's here, my first strat!

The pictures taken with my crappy tablet's camera definitely didn't do her justice, the guitar is in mint condition and looks simply stunning. As for the sound, at first I was afraid she wouldn't sound exactly like a strat, but the tone zone sounds wonderful coil-tapped and the lil 59' was pretty good too.

I'm totally in love with how this guitar look, sound AND feel right now, and oh did I mention she had a black headstock?:fingersx:

Re: NGD, my first strat!

Maple neck, matching headstock, black pearloid pickguard... only way to make it better is if it was just the Tone Zone in the bridge by itself. :D

Re: NGD, my first strat!

thanks guys:D I don't know what is the pickguard's colour is called but it looks abalone-ish, definitely going to change it to black pearloid soon!

Re: NGD, my first strat!

only thing I don't dig is the mismatched knobs. Congrats on your first strat!

Re: NGD, my first strat!

I would NOT change the pick guard. The only things I would do is put a full floating, full locker on it, move the vol out of the way, match the knobs and nothing else. The thing is Beautiful!

Re: NGD, my first strat!

thanks guys, I only had 2 metal knobs left but I decided to put them on anyway to make it easier to pull/roll the pot, hence the mismatched knobs :D
I'm probably gonna order some black metal knobs and a black pearloid pickguard, then maybe drop a duckbucker in the middle :D
