NGD - Partscaster... Part Deux

I'm a little excited I built one partscaster about a month or two ago and just finished another one a week or two ago. (Don't tell anyone but parts for build 3 are on their way.) Hers is a photo of Jet:

And now Phoenix:

Jet was a loaded body and a strat neck I bolted together randomly that fit like they were the same guitar. Phoenix took a little more work, I built her from an unloaded body, her tuners were on the neck but again bolted right together with only a very slight gap between neck heel and edge of neck pocket. I'm really liking this build your own guitar thing, I can see why some guys like it. It's entirely too expensive for my own good but I'm hooked, and bad.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a "build" since you're just assembling parts. But, yeah, It's a lot of fun and very fulfilling to put something together yourself.

It's also very addictive and you'll soon decide to start refinishing your guitars. You'll eventually get to the point that you will be doing the cutting out of the body to your own desired shape, routing for pups and electronic control cavity, and painting and finishing. That's when it gets REALLY fun, and potentially frustrating. But I guess that also adds to the fun...it's overcoming the challenge and the obstacles (ha ha, my spell checker wanted me to insert "testicles" for obsticles) you meet along the way.

Agreed on the built vs assembled ;) Also agreed on the addictive side of things! ;)

To the OP, enjoy!
