NGD - Peace, Love and Shoegazin', Sidewalk Surfin'

Been GAS-ing for a Jazzmaster for a while. Finally found one that made sense to me. It's amazing how good the CIC stuff is getting. The neck is fantastic, fit and finish are too. Only thing getting changed is the stock bridge. It's great that they set it up for a TOM but they use a piece of crap. It'll get a Tonepros like all my other guitars so not really a big deal.

I had a feeling you were building up to this :D

Congrats!

Re: NGD - Peace, Love and Shoegazin', Sidewalk Surfin'

thx! I was up fairly late playing last night and I love it. Besides the wonky bridge it seems to have a bit of a low fret (12th/hi E) that I need to address but damn this thing sounds great, I can't believe the pickups are so good.

@ Dr.V - no not a Tonelab, it's a Bose Soundink

Looks real good, heard good things about the J Mascis sig. Squier are really coming up on their quality, been so tempted by the Mustangs they've just released.

Hey man, I like it. JMs are brilliant. I've been meaning to change my Jmascis' volume pot, if anyone knows where I can find info, maybe the fender site? It felt so perfect new, but its scratchy and goes out when i change it or hit it and i have to roll it back again. Also a roller bridge i heard is a good idea? I dont like the square piece that screws onto the tremolo piece. Oh, I'm dying for a jazzcaster, now that i bought my car finally i am saving some cash for it. Neck might have to come later. Anyone knows how different jazzmaster necks are from the strat necks? I think warmoth cuts out strat neck heels or something. Anyway man have fun with it, those can be great value beater jm's which is always great. My jmascis was my first electric along with a big muff and i had lots of fun with my hot rod deluxe and a metal muff that came along with it. I was way into mudhoney and nirvana(etc) more grunge than shoegaze, but yo la tengo is awesome, is that shoegaze? . Anyway anyway enjoy man

edit: my JM neck feels massive, which is good
