I was looking for a guitar with a Floyd and my search had me looking at used Peavey Wolfgangs.
Then someone recommended the Peavey HP Special. This is what the Wolfgang turned into after Peavey & Eddie parted ways.
Peavey changed the body a little to make it more balanced, added push/pull pots to split the PU coils and also made the trem floating with a simple lock down device to make it for down only.
Got this floor model off of EBAY. Absolutely love it. Looks like a cross between a Tele & a Strat but it feels like a Tele when you're wearing it. VERY lightweight.
Play great with low buzz free action. The neck has a little chunk to it and the unfinished maple neck is super slick & fast.
Cannot get this guitar to go out of tune no matter how hard I use the whammy.
