It's actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

After I bought it, I started really looking at how seven strings work and a lot of people are saying that the Les Paul scale length is not very good for keeping the right tension on a seven, but I played it a bit and put a set of strings on it (Dunlop Heavy Core 7 String 10-60) and the little bit of time I've spent on it, I thought that the tension was perfect. Plus I don't have to get used to a new scale length either.

No, it was more like I told her to leave after I found out she cheated on me.

Sorry to hear that, but at least you found out before spending the money on her skank a$$!! congrats!! I like those Heafys!

So my new guitfiddle just came in. The crack in the neck finish was so microscopic that I missed it the first look. Plus the ebony is pure black with no streaks which I was not expecting. Unfortunately, I don't get to play it too much today because I'm going to class and tomorrow I have a speech so I will be working on that for most of the night.

Damn my luck.

yeah, alot of times those B stocks are tremendous deals as the issues of often quite minimal.. I got one once and the Only difference I could find was the serial number was covered with a sticker.. And I LOOKED AND LOOKED.. win!!

Sorry to hear that, but at least you found out before spending the money on her skank a$$!! congrats!! I like those Heafys!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a solid player, too. The pickups got switched out for a EMG 57/66 set and I ended up taking out all the electronics for the solderless set (didn't need the kill switch) and wired it up for 50's wiring. Sounds as great as it plays now.

Have you ever thought of using the 7 string with a high A string instead of a low B? Like, use a .007 gauge string and tune it up - you could probably get away with it on the LP's shorter scale. Could be fun.

Uh, though it could work, why? For myself as a guitarist, I want to be able to go lower, not higher.

Congrats on the new guitar! I think some pics are in order.

Have you ever thought of using the 7 string with a high A string instead of a low B? Like, use a .007 gauge string and tune it up - you could probably get away with it on the LP's shorter scale. Could be fun.

I would do this with a bass, I could use a high B more than a low B.

I would for an 8, but not a seven. I like having the lower tuning. 8 strings I have no use for, except the low B.
