Hey guys.

I managed to pick up 1 of the Red 2 pickup BC Rich Gunslinger Reissues last night for the sum of £230 with hardcase :D

I've been after 1 of the yellow 1s for a while, but there was no way I was going to miss this for the price just because of the colour! :friday:

It's 1 of the older 1s with the Dimarzios instead of the Rockfield Mafia pickups they're now fitting in them.

I can't post or link pics from work, so that'll have to wait till later.

Going to crank the Splawn QR up when I get home and play some cheesy 80s Rock :D

Re: Ngd

Congratulations!! Sounds like you got a good deal. I know you've been wanting something like that for quite a few years now.

Re: Ngd

Nice snag Craig.

Cheers mate!

Yeah yeah, they're on their way! :nana:

Thanks Jolly!

I'm really impressed with it so far. It's a much better guitar than my early 90s Charvel that I sold a few months ago.

The plan is to use this Gunslinger and my Jap Strat with Floyd in my new band, 1 in standard tuning and 1 in Eb :naughty:

Thanks! :)

It sounds good so far, although at the minute it has 9s on it and I use atleast 10s, so I need to get it sorted out before it'll be at it's best for me.

The Super Distortion in the bridge is good, sounds great through the Quick Rod. Although the amp could do with being louder to really open it up :D

The Dual Rail in the neck is ok at best, although I'm not a big fan of stacked humbuckers, so I'm probably a bit biased from the get go.

I'll probably replace the pickups at some point with a Bareknuckle Trilogy in the neck (high output single coil) and a Bareknuckle Miracle Man in the bridge. Although there's no rush for this as they're good as they are.

Re: Ngd

A Small update:

I cranked it up through the Splawn last night for half an hour or so.

Not the most versatile guitar in the world, I never expected it to be, but it was awesome for the 70s/80s Rock thing I do :D

I'll probably change the pickups at some point to a Bareknuckle Trilogy in the neck and a Miracle Man in the bridge, but there's no rush as the Super D in the bridge is good and the dual rail in the neck is passable for the time being

Re: Ngd

Congrats!! they are wicked fun! I didnt need one AT ALL, but the fun factor playing my buds yellow one was so high, I had to have one..

Re: Ngd

I didn't technically NEED it per se, but it was too good to pass up at the price! :D

Thanks! :D

I've heard of the Crazy 8, but not heard any clips of it.

I've gone a bit mad for 80s style guitars over the last few years. Not bad to say that at 1 point I hated them and would never have bought 1 :D

Re: Ngd

In case you didnt know, the Crazy 8 was one of the special group runs that they did for us a couple of years ago.. Was rad in that it had an alnico 8 mag in it. And the trembucker pole pieces.. It is hot but still has a great tone. I had 2 of them but I sold one in the Charvel 4 I sold. I wanted to keep it, but the girl that bought it loved the Crazy 8 and wanted it with the guitar.

Anywho, I too LOVE 80s axes and had several Kramers, a couple of Charvels and so on, but have had to sell many of them.. I still love them tho! I love the BC Rich even tho not practical at all. Cool looking and fun neck. I wish they made the one like yours with the single coil in Black, but oh well.. Anyhow, again, congrats!!
