As in new Godin day. Thanks so much Dominus. This thing actually feels just like my 5th Avenue and that's what I was hoping for. A nice flamed top, and fairly light compared to my Schecters. I don't like the pickup, but I am a little biased since putting Fuglybuckers in Brownie. I swiped the photo because I haven't even had time to take one, I haven't even changed the strings yet.http://www.samplebytes.com/pics/Godin/DSCN1647.JPG

Re: NGD

I am beginning to like Single pickup guitars more and more. Just simple Plug it tune it and play.

Re: NGD

I realized with the bridge Fugly I can roll my tone off completely and it sounds pretty close to the neck pickup, the woman sound that Clapton spoke of. So, todays project is install a bridge Fugly and drill and install a tone pot.

Don't drill that, get a push-pull or stacked instead.

Re: NGD

Ok, Labor day has the stores closed and I need a long shaft tone pot. So I decided to use a CTS 500k push/pull and a bridge Fuglybucker, a set of strap locks and scuff the gloss off the neck and this thing is ready to rock.Redline 1 002.jpg

Re: NGD

I don't like the taper on the pot so it will be getting a EVH low friction vol. and the CTS will become the tone.

Re: NGD

Love the guitar!!! I agree, sometimes all you need is one pup to say it all. I think it makes me a better player. I have to work a little harder to get "that sound".

Cool. How's the tone of the Fugly in it compared to the axe in your avatar?

They're lots of fun. With a medium/low output pup, you can do quite a bit.
