Last night, I ran across this deal... it was "too good to pass up"... Guitar, cheap practice amp, cables, 10 sets of strings & PS3 Rocksmith game w/ cable... $150... Giving the amp to my son, for when he's at his moms, gonna sell the game and strings (they're not my guage).

Got some scratches here and there, but for that price who cares...

Re: NGD

That's really nice looking! I can't get into Gibson silver-bursts but for some reason I love them on Fenders.
So... What is that, a Squier, or something else?

Sent from my butt using last night's tacos

Re: NGD

Anybody have any experience with customizing these? Not particularly found on the neck/frets.. Would a straight up new fender neck fit these?

Re: NGD

The Modern Player series is actually pretty good. I played an HSS Strat just like that one once, and I would be damned if it wasn't among the best strats I had ever played, and I have played many.

Re: NGD

Thanks guys! It's really a pretty sweet guitar.. I had been wanting to try one, but can't ever find one in a shop to play.

Re: NGD

Only thing I've ever done with them is build 1000's of virtual "man I'd love that" guitars..

Anybody know anything about the Stewmac necks?

Re: NGD

don't rush the neck change!
someone who would sell that guitar for 150 with all the extras probably hasn't even "played it in".
wait until you've gone through a couple sets of your preferred strings, cleaned the board, made some adjustments, etc. i wouldn't rush into a neck swap without having put your scent on the thing (so to speak).
that aside, IMO there is a lot of potential there to customise, if you do decide to go down that path.
outstanding score.
what's the amp like?
