Cool. What gauge strings and tuning? I gave up on a straight 27” 8 string, and think fanned frets are necessary for an ERG.

It was tuned a whole step down and drop what ever the hell the B is. It played fine that way.

If this is a rabbit hole you've never gone down, search "D'Addario String Calculator" and put together an optimized tension set. I think having the tension perfect is a little overrated, but you may be able to come up with something really cool that plays better.
