Nice interview with Klon creator, Bill Finnegan

Re: Nice interview with Klon creator, Bill Finnegan

i remember seeing that before. cool interview and i like the fact that paul cochrane designed the switching since timmy has been my go to od for a long time now. doesnt surprise me that bill, and others, are frustrated about how their hard work has been co-opted by others for profit. i also cant imagine hand building 8000 pedals.

I've seen the Klon Centaur on other forums and it sure seems like a popular pedal with great tonal response but the price I think is way too over-inflated!

id never pay stupid money for a klong but fro $270, id consider a ktr

Re: Nice interview with Klon creator, Bill Finnegan

I don't know all the details, but didn't Bill pass on having the design mass produced? Even now, it seems silly that Bill can't partner with someone and have them cranked out.

Re: Nice interview with Klon creator, Bill Finnegan

that was the ktr but it seems there are issues since they arent being made any more.

as far as getting a ktr myself... i dont really need one. timmy is my go to overdrive and suits my needs well. since ive put the eminence maverick in my dr i can get the drive from the amp at any volume i need so a tune-able boost is about all i want. ive played with klons before and itd be nice to have one but i already have a bunch of stuff i dont use.

Are they really not being made anymore?

What a shame if that’s true.

I did find a second KTR but I could not find a new one anywhere.

Had to buy it used for slightly more than a new one.

I have two pedal boards, a small one and a larger one, and I wanted a Klon for each.
