NMWGBD (New Multi-Wood Guitar Build Day)

I've been working on several builds lately, just completed this one. The body is mahogany (chambered), the top is Wenge, Padauk, Purple Heart, and maple. The same woods were used to create an 1/8" veneer for the headstock. Finish is polyurethate. Tuners are Hipshot locking. Pickups: bridge = GFS Dream 90, neck = GFS Vintage 59. This is the first one of my builds to get my new logo on the headstock. 5-ply binding: thin white, thin cream 2x thin black, thick cream. 3-ply binding on the side. Two vol, master tone. Compensated nut.

My camera battery is going dead. I'll add more pics in a few minutes.

Beautiful, out of curiosity how long did the build take?

That's beautiful. What compensated nut do you use? Earvana?

I make my own. Usually I use a blank of bone, but I had an old black Tusq nut taking space in my drawer, so I cut the compensation in that nut. If you look close you can see the difference between this and the Earvana (especially on the low "E".

Coil splitting? .....and how long is the waiting list? :bigthumb:

Gorgeous . Great work. Would proudly own and play that. Too bad you finished it in tone smothering urethane.
