Noise supressor

Ok, ive decided that to get the best outa my cheap kit, i might need a supressor as the RAT + marshall screetch when loud.

What recommendations do you have?

What and the positives and negatives of supressor pedals?

well. IMO noise gates are tone suckers, so you have to be careful while using them, but also IMO the little Boss, is a pretty good unit unless you wanna sprin g for a big rack mount unit.

NS-2 is great. So is the HUSH. I have an NS-2. It's great.

will the ns-2 get rid of amp buzz too? Sorry for the dumb question, but I kind of stick to the basics when in comes to gear.

Should do the trick. Eliminates almost all unwated noise for me.

the ns-2 works great when used to get rid of the noise of a distortion pedal and guitar. (set up infront of the amp, using the pedals send and return for the distortion pedal. won't get rid of the amps buzz because it's not through the effects loop)

i tried mine through my effects loop and it didn't work very well if at all. My g major's noise gate works perfectly through the effects loop, so if you want to get rid amp noise too i wouldn't recommend the ns-2 from my experiences with it.
