Noiseless or noisy single coils. Blues solo recording!

I put the two Kinman noiseless pickups in my Strat that were replaced by Suhr V60LP's.
I have a 59B trembucker as well in this guitar.

I did a test recording with the Suhr's before taking them out:

and the I did a longer impro with the Kinman's.

I think the Suhr's are a little too dark and they are going into another guitar, but I'm not sure I want to stick with the Kinman's, or just get some real Seymour Duncan single coils like the Antiquity Surfers and just put up with the hum.

HELP ME OUT!:crying:

I'm not sure if my impression is just subjective.

BTW...I love the way the 59B trembucker sounds. :fing2:

EDIT:

I just did another take, this time with my old 1982 Strat that has it's original Fender pickups.

I just used neck and bridge positions.

There is less hum, because I moved away from the computer monitor.

So how does it compare to the other two???

Hmmm...let's put the question in a simple manner.

Should I get rid of the Kinman's? :chairfall

Re: Noiseless or noisy single coils. Blues solo recording!

I prefer the Kinmans. The Suhr have too much noise which cause some unpleasant harmonics. I believe that the Kinmans could sound even more "vintagey" if appropriately equalized.

Perhaps the Suhrs would work ok in a different setup.

Great playing in any case. ;)

Great playing man! Some Scott Henderson floating around!

I loved both clips..dunno which was better :)

That is great playing . . . I have to say that I also prefer the Kinmans though. There's just too much noise from those other pickups. It kinda distracts me from the songs and playing.

Thanks for your help guys!

But now I'm even more confused.

I AM NOT WORTHY.

Thank you, nevertheless.:6:

The 1982 strat sounds the best IMO. Playing is excellent.

It's very important to record facing away (and sat far away if possible) from your monitor and speakers - especially with single coils.

It sounds more balanced but it sounds like a stock pickup-set nevertheless..hope you get my point :)

Nothing wrong with it..superb playing and the pups are made for that guitar as Nuntius already said. :)

I´d like to hear/play the pups in person..how they react etc.

The Fender stock pups seem to be good but they are not perfect..meh..lack of words and I´m tired :laugh2:

You play great and at the end it doesn´t matter what pup is in!

Do you think the other pickups in the recordings sound better than the Fenders'?

Thanks for your compliments about my playing although I always think I could do better.:)
