Noiseless Single Coil for Jake E Lee Tone

I really dig Jake E Lee's raw middle single coil tone. The tone on Badlands Dusk album is killer. I know he uses a Dimarzio SDS1 and its closer to p90 territory.

I don't need to nail his tone. I just kind of want a powerful noiseless single coil middle tone vibe. I don't mind if its more traditional strat sounding or p90ish. I just want the powerful middle position cluck.

I have a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Solo in my box of pickups but im not sure if it work well.

The pickguard for my partscaster is coming soon and its going to be HSS with a slanted towards the bridge middle pickup like Jake E Lee.

EQ-wise, the Hot Stack Plus is probably the closest, but it may be hotter than the SDS1, so you'd have to set it lower in the guitar.

You might want to check out Paul Gilbert's injector neck in mid position for a single coil that sounds pretty powerful.
