Noisy pickups!

Hey, I need the advice of some of the experts here! I just wired up my new 62 reissue Strat (with antiquity single coils). It still has no strings, but I plugged it in to make sure everything was working and I find that the bridge pickup makes a very loud, unpleasant noise if I touch it. Even touching the pickup screws on the bridge and middle pickups makes a noise. How do I fix this? Thanks...

Check your Ground/earth loops! Something is not grounded.

The solder must have broke somewhere. I had to re-solder a couple of wires before because they wouldnt stick. I'll open 'er up again and check it out. Thanks.

Okay, I took off the scratchplate, had a good look around, re-soldered a couple of slightly flimsy looking connections and the problem is still there. Unless I missed something, it seems everything is as it should be. I cant for the life of me figure out what's wrong. :banghead:

Anybody have any suggestions?

put the strings on and touch the strings. the noise should go away

you act as the ground
