Is the Seymour Duncan Script on the bobbin of a covered pup? I want a JB without the Signage. Looks a custom order is too much hassle.. I was thinking to just remove the cover of one…

I don't know if there's a normal practice or if it's just up to chance, but the ones I've uncovered have had logos on the bobbins.

I've only ever removed the cover off a Duncan Distortion Neck that I have lying around, but that one came unbranded. I got it in 2022.

Oh, I lie. I recently removed the cover off a 2007 '59N, but '59's don't usually come with logos anyway.

The logo is also very easy to polish off and the bobbin stays perfect. Just a matter of the right plastic polishing compound.

Most of the SD pickups I removed the covers from had no logos, although one did. (One in five.)

Being in LA, might be simplest to just order a shop floor custom, if that´s not too expensive.
