Just instaled cool rails in bridge of strat ,they seem to want to but I have to crank the gain are jb better for that application.

I would say yes, if you're trying to overdrive your amp, the JB Jr or Hot Rails might be a better choice. If you have a pickup rout under your pickguard that a full size humbucker might fit in, that would be even better. Lew
