Not jiggy with D-Activator 7's in a "Silver Dot" Universe... BW7's & SSL-5/6???

Have had and used the DA7's in numerous RG & UV models in the past with great results, but this time they are just not cutting it. Notes that normally sustain and ring out longer are cut out in half the time, and the output just isn't as hot as I am used to with them this time around. So I am heavily considering swapping the DA7 and Blaze middle set with something else, and am seriously considering a Black Winter 7 and SSL-5/6 in the middle. I currently have the guitar wired with the Tosin Abasi Ibanez wiring, with a concentric pot for the bridge & neck volumes, and the push/pull for the middle volume & coil splits.

I want to try and stay passive as much as possible with this one before I consider the EMG route - in which I would lose the coil split and switching options of the Tosin Abasi wiring. But I am not happy with the DA7's like I typically am and need something else - something hotter, equally vesatile and at home in a Universe with such a unique switching and control pattern.

If there is something other than the BW's you think would be equally as hot and versatile, let me know. I want to get to fall in love with this guitar all over again. Thanks all!!

If you have installed the DeActivators in guitars before and have not had a problem with sustain and output, it is probably a problem with the guitar which will carry over to the next pickup set you try as well. What are the pot values in it?

It has 500K pots on both the concentric and push/pull. It had an Illuminator 7 in the bridge when I got it, and I switched to the DA7's because it didn't sound good. And while it does sound a LOT better, it just doesn't have the same "umph" as any of the other RG & UV models I played in the past with these pickups...
