Not this goofball again...

Re: Not this goofball again...

Wow, I just looked at those closeup pictures of the frets...if I paid for a refret and it came back looking like that, I'd make the shop pay to have it done properly elsewhere. First of all, the fret tang on one of the frets is actually bent at a 90 degree angle, not to mention the fact that some of the frets are actually sitting on glue. Whoever refretted it used way too much glue, and it seeped out onto the fretboard. Some of the frets are also tilted instead of seated properly in the slot. This is why I learned to do my own fretwork, for fear that I'd pay $200 for something that looks like that.

Yeah, that neck is pretty much totaled. Looks to me like the guy knows the axe is ruined and is hoping to unload it on some unknowing sap. I'm happy to know that this is at least the second time he's had it listed with no success so far.

Yeah that "line" on the back of the neck is where the finish ends and the wood contour changes.

Those frets suck horrible ass. Not only did he not put them in straight, all the metal bits from "scalloping" got into the glue and got stuck there and now there's fret schmunda in there you can't clean out!!
