If you've been following my legacy, with everyone's help I picked out this pickup to put in the bridge of my strat to replace a Super Distortion I grew weary of.
This pickup is a breath of fresh air. I no longer play much heavy music, and the Super D's low mid spike and high output were really mudding up my sound. I was trying to get a sort of jazzy, surfy, twangy sound but with humbuckers. The 36th Anniversary balances so well with the '59 in the neck. Note separation is beautiful. The coil tap is actually very convincing sounding and very full and bright. I'm so glad I decided to go with this pickup! It has given my guitar so much more versatility and class.
Before!
Gettin' the pickguard off
uhhhhhhh this looks complicated
After!
