NPAD: MG15CDR

My gigging days are behind me, sold all my Ampeg and Hiwatt stacks decades ago. I've been jumping between little practice boxes from one to another over the years, had a Roland Cube, some kind of Behringer, a Fender Mustang 1, and all of that. Today - I found a little Marshall MG15CDR sitting in a far room of a dusty music store.

The clean channel sounds great (even with an acoustic), and the grind channel is sufficient for now. I even like the reverb. Also, no programming of FX - so lack of frustration is a bonus! Hard to beat for $50 (no tax), and it's louder than I'll ever need.

How many Marshalls does that make through the years? Who knows?

I love those cheesy little things
But I also like the Peavey Vyper amps
I currently have a VIP 2 tons of neat sounds

I also have some of the amp in a pedal things too
Plugged into a pa speaker
Are convincing enough for practice

Glad you found something you like

Re: NPAD: MG15CDR

I remember that I tried the MG15CDR with a real cab once (with V30). It sounded pretty cool.

Oooooh. You're giving me ideas....

I used to have one of those dinky Marshall stacks. The head sounded good through a full size cab....

Re: NPAD: MG15CDR

You could also get one of the joyo British sound pedals & run it into the cd input(left or right). I had been running their California sound pedal through the CD input of my practice amp & it sounded great, just had to change the 1/4" connector on my cheap spare cable at one end to a RCA type(?).
