Since it was my birthday may 25th I had the opportunity, with the support of my sweet fiance to get the tc electronic flashback x4. I had to have a little patience for it to come in in one of the local shops, but it came in and I really love it. I have wanted a flashback since it first came out, and even more so when the x4 came out. Over time I gather the Vortex, Corona and Hall of fame, on good second hand deals, yet the one I really wanted had to wait, but it came in and I am thrilled with it.
I really love the delay's tc makes, I love the versatility. I just got to try it for 3hours or something last night, but so far I can say I really love the sounds of the different type delays. Very believeable tape and analog delays, really love the space-echo setting, set it as my A preset, quarter notes. My B preset is a dotted 8 2290 for that U2-ish rhythm stuff and C is a nice tape dual delay. Really great stuff.
But the thing that really got me jamming out is the looper, really really great feature. My first looper ever and it is so inspiring for writing and symphonizing, awesome to lay down some lines and get the creative juices flowing, especially with the ability to mix in some great delay at the same time. I'm really loving this pedal!
Will be taking it to church sunday, looking forward to it!
