Got this a couple of weeks ago. Finally getting things set up with it
and the alto speaker.

I was goofing and a riff popped out so figured I’d use it to share what the engl amp sounds like (still tweaking, in fact, I didn’t actually touch the amp settings just the eqs of the cab, chain, and speaker, oops).

I like the unit a lot, and I’m having fun finding amps and settings I dig. Not going to say it’s better or worse than X, Y, Z but it’s working well for me.

I have yet to run it through a tube amp and traditional cab.

Thanks! I’ve only played through a small one before and simulations.

I like the alto. It’s got an app with an EQ you can further tweak and save into it. I borrowed a JBL before and I remember really liking that one. But this one works good for my needs around the house.

I believe it’s the anchor on the cover of “tales.” I saw them last year and luckily they had some swag with the original logo!

Not yet, I’m still trying amp/cab setups. It’s been awhile since I’ve done “real” recording and will be getting some time in a few weeks to do some tests.

I was going to try:
- going direct with cab IR in the unit (I'll try and do a quick test soon)
- direct with cab sim in DAW
- into tube amp and a mic on a cab
- into tube amp then direct (with dummy load) and DAW cab sim

About $240 open box (currently an open box on thomann I just saw). I had to remind them to put in a US power cable but they included that for free

Thomann seems to go out of their way for their customers. They have good quality guitars, basses, pedalboard cases and effects too .

l currently have my eye out on their Double Neck guitar.
