NPD: Italian Bender clone

This Is a modified Italian Bender clone, aka the v828, which was basically a Mark 1.5 Made un Italy with a few different components. Like it's 2 transistor cousin, the Fuzz Face, It cleans up really well with the volume knob rolled back, but It has that characteristic Bender raspiness (the v828 was brighter and more cutting) and perhaps a bit more gain. It has a tone switch for more bass)/mids and a slight Treble roll off, and a bias knob for a gated response. Pretty happy with It.

the 1.5 is cool for sure. do you know what the switch does? i know the 1.5 and ff are almost identical other than a few component value changes

It's a two germanium transistor pedal, like any classic Italian/mk1.5 Bender. The switch Is a tone switch.

i meant did you know what the switch brings into or out of the circuit. there are only like 11 components in the original 1.5.

This one has around 17 components. No, I wish I knew More about electrónica, so I could answer the question.

all good man, just curious. i have a few ff type pedals and a fultone soulbender which is a mk3 type 3 tranny bender along with some other fuzzes. lots of fun for sure! enjoy your new fuzz

Thanks. I am enjoying It. For my next purchase I think I'll get something "evil", like an FY-2 or an FY-6 clone :D

id like to try a zonk machine but my silver foxx (foxxtone inspired) is my current nasty fuzz

The British Pedal Company manufacturas faithful replicas of the Zonk Machine and other classic British Fuzz pedals. So faithful, in fact, that they generate crazy feedback at higher volume levels, and may even be unpredictable like the originals. It's part of the fun.
