NPD----My 1st pedal tuner.

I was in the market for a pedal tuner for my board I'm building and didn't want to have to sell my body parts to pay for one. I found this one on sweetwater for $25 with free shipping. It's as accurate as my pocket Korg tuner is.

Cool. No pedal board should be without a tuner.

I saw a guy tuning up by ear at an open mic night last Tuesday and he was satisfied way too soon.

I actually like the Snark Tuner that clips on your headstock. It's cheap and works really well for what it is.

I also have the industry standard Boss tuner.

Behringer gets a lot of hate, but it works and they actually have some good sounding stuff. Enjoy!

In a band - tuner is my goto pedal!

Ugh, thats the worst. Especially when they just tune to themselves and not even to the other guys. Had to deal with a guy like that at a jam not too long ago...I just threw my tuner at him

Congrats on the new pedal! Good to hear that it works and is accurate!

+1 to this! I recently got a V-Amp Pro and forgot how many great tones Behringer can produce!

Re: NPD----My 1st pedal tuner.

I used a Polytune for quite a while, until I discovered the Snarks. Now, I've got a snark on every headstock and an extra spot on my board.

Re: NPD----My 1st pedal tuner.

Don't let anyone tell you that you purchased a "bad" tuner. A tuner is a tuner whether it's made by Boss, Korg or Apple Computer.

Congratulations! You took a step towards professionalism. If you play with other musicians, embrace the use of your pedal before rehearsing if the bassist does not have a tuner.

Re: NPD----My 1st pedal tuner.

This does bring up an interesting question: Clip-on, or in-line? Is one better than the other?

IMO, I would think that the in-line would be better since it gets a "direct signal" from the guitar itself through the cable. I think the clip on reads vibration frequencies if Im not mistaken. Correct me if Im wrong.

Re: NPD----My 1st pedal tuner.

I think you're absolutely correct. But, is that a good thang, or not so much?

Im going to be honest. The in-line would be better for that reason. In the clip on case, if you're playing in a loud place and you get done with a solo or whatever and need to tune while the band keeps going, you could on the off chance pick up other vibration frequencies in the room or on the stage where as the pedal route is a direct feed with no frequency interference.

Re: NPD----My 1st pedal tuner.

Clip on is handy and convenient to share IME.

For performing? Floor all the way.

Re: NPD----My 1st pedal tuner.

I've got a pedal and three clip-ons. (The Polytune clip has pretty much put the other two on ice.)

This exactly. I could never stand using a clip-on when performing with a band. If the drummer or bassist starts playing while you are tuning, it makes it difficult to get an accurate reading.
