This pedal took me by surprise. It's not very often I play through a distortion that so easily lets me get the subtle vowel sound I crave. Playing chords and sliding into and between chords, as well as playing single-note lines, it just comes out very easily. The "Warp" knob really changes the structure of the gain and makes it a lot more than just another distortion. I like to have options.

Man, I've wanted one of those since they first introduced it years ago. good to hear it's doing the trick for you! Tech 21 makes some nice stuff.

They really had a good thing going, I think. It has a lot of life, ebb and flow to it. I can't wait to try it with a bunch of guitars and amps.

The silver one like mine is the original. They sold it for both guitar and bass. Later on they made a separate guitar model (black) and bass model (purple). Apparently they tamed the black guitar model down a bit compared to the original. The tone controls work differently.

They're pretty easy to find used online. $50-$60 is about the starting price.

I've always liked Tech 21 stuff. Good people there, too. I own a FlyRig 5 and a Trademark 60 amp.
